🐟 What types of fishing can I do in Cabo?

Inshore Fishing

  • Description: Fishing directly on the beach targeting many species – large and small.

  • Target Species: Snapper, jack crevalle, sierra mackerels, multiple species of grouper, snook, dorado, needlefish, and roosterfish.

  • Trip Length: Generally between 4:30 am and 10:30 am. Schedule may change based on fishing conditions.

Offshore & Deep Sea Fishing

  • Description: Heading far from land to catch larger, high-value game fish.

  • Target Species: Marlin (blue, black), yellowfin tuna, wahoo, mahi-mahi, swordfish, grouper.

  • Boats: Requires larger, more specialized vessels designed for open water.

  • Trip Length: Involves longer travel times to reach deeper fishing grounds. Generally 1/2 days are 5 hours and full days are 8 hours, however contact us for more custom excursions.

📅 When is the best time to fish in Cabo?

The fishing season in Cabo varies by species, but is great all year long!

  • Sierra Mackerel: Best from December to April.

  • Cubera Snapper: Peak season is from March to July.

  • Jack Crevalle: Best from April through August.

  • Rooster: Peak season is May through July.

  • Dorado (Mahi Mahi): October through November.

🛥️ What should I bring on my fishing trip?

  • Essentials: Sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, water shoes, camera and a light jacket. We provide everything else INCLUDING food and drinks!

🎟️ Do I need a fishing license?

Yes, a fishing license is required for charter fishing. Larger boats often include them in the price. Inshore does not require a license. Kids 13 and under do not require a license.
